A closer image of Tilda so that you can see the colouring in better.  Used the Copic pens again.  Hope you can pick up the glitter as well.

Coloured in my little Tilda again this evening is autumn shades and added some glitter on her hair, clothing and wings.  The paper is a Dainty Daisies SCBPC28 from Stacy Claire Boyd's collection.  Loved the colours when I saw it.  It's double side paper with yellow at the back.  Added some glitter glue to the flowers and a pearl and flower embellishment.

Here she is again with a different colour hat.  I have more, but won't load them all.  In this card I used the pearly glue dots for the first time.  They came out a bit pointy instead of round, but I'm sure with practice I'll get it right.

Another one of her, just in different colours.  Hope you like it?  I don't think I'll ever get sick of using her on cards, she is just too cute for words.

Hello again.  Let me introduce you to Sweet 'n Sassy.  I received this image from a friend and immediately ordered the stamp for myself from Funkykits in the UK, as I think she is absolutely gorgeous.  It's an Elisabeth Bell creation and I can't wait for her to arrive in the post.

Some more "tools of the trade" to share with my non-cardmaking friends.  Craft glue (very important), lovely flower embellishments and in front my new nickle charms.  Yummy!

Most of my cards are "girly" cards, but I found this little image on a freebie website which I downloaded and coloured in with the copic pens.  Well... to tell you the truth, Kendall has been doing the colouring in for me lately.  Don't you think she's getting better?  For the benefit of my friends who don't make cards, I thought I'd post this image of what a "copic" pen looks like.  It's almost like a koki pen, but not quite.  It is far more superior and is acid free and will not run.  They are quite expensive, but because you can get refills, they are worth the money you spend on them.  As you can see we have quite a selection of colours already, but feel we need much much more.  We get our supply from Deckle Edge and we can't get a Blender. Apparently their stock will only arrive in November, so it's a long wait.

This cardstock was doubleside, so I used both sides to make this lovely peachy card.

I bought a new embossing folder for the cuttlebug, called Swiss Dots, as I notice it's very popular.   I will be using it a lot.  Love it!  Found a huge haberdashery shop (looks more like a warehouse) in Northumberland Street, Bellville and got some lovely ribbon at very reasonable prices.  I notice that my Dutch friends use lace and crocheted bits on their cards, which gives it a completely different look.  Absolutely lovely.  I will have to get some and try it out sometime.  I also bought myself some little charms, which I notice is also very popular and will be using these on my new creations soon.

I thought it would be nice just using paper, ribbon and buttons for a change, instead of stamps and was quite pleased with this little number.  Nice design to use for all those little pieces of paper we don't dare throw away.

Greetings Friends.  Gosh, these past few days I've felt like a person stranded on a deserted island.  I ran out of airtime and couldn't get to the shops to purchase more databundle, so I was stranded since last Thursday and all I could do was make cards (which wasn't a bad thing ;)).  Hope you all had a fabulous weekend.  Thursday was a public holiday in South Africa and I took a day's leave on Friday, so it was a lonnnng weekend for me.  I could easily do with another one of those.  Had a fab day on Sunday.  Went to Kalk Bay with a friend and browsed  through all the little craft shops along the beachfront.  Shew, there were a lot of people.  Everyone took advantage of the little bit of sunshine.

Only card makers and lovers will understand the excitement and joy experienced when I received this Magnolia image from my friend Paola.  This is my first ever Magnolia card and I am so thrilled with it.  Hope you are too.  Isn't she absolutely gorgeous?

This is me, hard at work in my lounge.  Photo taken unexpectedly!

My mom's favourite colour is green.  I was thinking of her whilst making this card.  Bought this lovely ribbon a while ago and now I've been able to put it to good use.  The flower stamp I've used before, always nice using it again, but with different colour scheme.  You can't see the glitter, but I've glittered on the petals and when moving the card, it creates beautiful sparkles.

Using our new stamp again, but with a different colour scheme this time.  I can't get enough of this little stamp.  I just know I will be using it a lot.  Bought it at Charmaine's and I noticed that it is copyrighted to her.  If anyone would like a stamped sheet, let me know and I'll send it to you in the post.

Love these little sandal stamps.  Coloured them in pink and blue, used my Just for You stamp again and black organza ribbon.  Hope you like!

Morning Everyone, hope you all had an absolutely stunning weekend!  Here's wishing you a wonderful week ahead filled with many hours of cardmaking ;)   Kendall and I went shopping again (when don't we?) and she came across this beautiful stamp at Charmaine's shop.   I couldn't wait to colour and make a card.  I also purchased the scalloped cutter, what a delightful tool.  The Just for You stamp is also a newby.

My airtime ran out, so I couldn't upload the full card after this one.  Will do so later so that you can get the full effect of this Christmas card. Here is the complete card above.  Once again used my new scalloped cutter and new Merry Christmas stamp.  Used white ink gel pen to create the dots on the red cardstock.  Quite effective!  I was very pleased with the end result.  Hope you like it too!

Spent the morning cutting out cards as my current stash is almost finished.  Drew and coloured this lovely cupcake the other evening and quickly mounted onto white and then navy card.  Secured the white card onto the navy with glude and some brads.  Blends perfectly with the light cream card.

Greetings Everyone from an absolutely beautiful sun shiny day in Cape Town!  What bliss!  A perfect day for a braai (what other parts of the world would call, a barbeque).   We went to the folks for lunch today (Mom's yummy steak pie - hmmmm) and it was great just spending a meal with them again.  Before we went through, I quickly ran a vacuum through our place, as housework has been standing still for a few weekends now :( oops.  But all nice and tidy again.  Then I quickly made 6 cards and thought I'd load them for you to have a look at.  I drew this cake and coloured it in using the copic pens again and then mounted onto silver paper.  I will post a closer shot of the bottom part of this card, as I tried out my new heart-designed border cutter.  Unfortunately the hearts come out upside down.  If anyone out there knows how to rectify this, please email me. Thank you.

That time of the year again when we should be thinking of making our Christmas cards.  Found a container full of ribbons, which I haven't looked at for a while and found this lovely silver and green organza ribbon.  Thought it complimented the card beautifully.

Hello again, wasn't the weather good today?  Managed to catch up on some washing, must make hay whilst the sun shines!  Did some shopping again and then spent the early part of the evening clearing out my pedestal which was in a total mess!!  Made this card last night.  My own creation, not a stamp this time.  Hope you like!

Sorry folks, I've changed the look of my Blog once again.   As I had problems reading the right hand column in the previous one, I thought you would too, hence the change.  May do so again, until I find the right look and feel for me, but for now I'm enjoying the Cupcake theme (if you've been reading my Blog you'll know that I am crazy about Cupcakes - the look and taste thereof - yummy!).  Paola from Paola's Paper Haven (see under Blogs That Inspire Me) writes that her stash from Funkykits arrived from the UK and just looking at all that beautiful stamp candy makes my toes curl.  I can't wait to see her new designs.  If that were my stash, I would have to take at least a week's leave, as I would want to start stamping and colouring in straightaway!  Enjoy Paola!

Still wet and cold in Cape Town, whilst the other provinces are baking in the sun.  Hmmm, our turn will no doubt come one of these days.  I did a lot of colouring in and glittering last night and will probably sit down to make some more cards this evening.

Oooh, I am so excited.  My friend Vanessa who works and lives in Hong Kong just emailed me.  She's collecting the Elizabeth Bell, Magnolia and Gorguss Girl stamps I ordered through her when she visits the UK tomorrow.  I can't wait to get my hands on them and produce some cards for you all to see, so watch this space!  She also emailed me a website link of a craft store in Hong Kong who sell the Precious Moment images on stamp.  Well... it was like feeding candy to a baby.  As I opened each link, I ooo'h and aaa'h and if money were no object I would have ordered the whole lot, but have only selected a few.  Not sure what the exchange rate is, but will even live on bread and butter if I have to, but those stamps I MUST have!!! :)   Only fellow crafters will appreciate this obsession we have to own these stamps!  As mentioned earlier, keep watching this space.  Had a complete rest last night, but feeling very inspired right now to make some cards later.  Love and blessings to all of you, have a wonderful day.

I really don't know why I was thinking of an ice cream cone on this cold and wintry day, but I saw one in one of the craft magazines I'd purchased and as I don't have a stamp, I decided to draw my own.  Then I coloured it in using the copic pens.  Not too bad hey!  Wishing you all a fabulous week, I believe it is going to be a cold one in Cape Town again, so wrap up warmly, Spring has not arrived yet and you don't want to get ill.

I loved the floral paper when I saw it yesterday, it has magenta, mauve and tan colours which I thought would go very well with the purplish mauve cardstock I have.  The colours are much deeper than what the photograph has picked up.  Love this Sarah Kay image which is freely downloadable from a website I came across.

Brown and pink again.  I love this ribbon and only have a small piece left.  Will have to visit The Scrapbook Shop to see if they have some more for me. 

Well folks, another cold and wintry day in Cape Town today.  Not that I'm complaining.  It allows me to do what I love doing best... making cards!!!  Yay!  There's something about this little stamp that I like.  The colour of the card is dark brown.  Blends well with the yellow, blue, green and pink of the image.  You will notice that I love my browns and pinks, but I am trying to incorporate some other colour schemes too.

Oh yes, before I forget and log off, I must share some news.  We popped in at the Bellville Library this morning on our way to Willowbridge Mall.  They had the Seniors Craft Market today.  Some delightful products on show and as a crafter myself, I can appreciate the hard work that goes into each project, so I had to support some of the ladies.  I then boldly went where I have not gone before :) ... I booked myself a table at the next Craft Market on the 10th October.  Eeeek!  I will have to make a lot more cards, so that I have a nice variety to display on the day.  I will have to spread the news amongst all my friends, so that they can support me.

Can't really see the glitter as I would have liked.  Very difficult to get just the right angle.

Hope no one is bored with the Cupcake theme, as I adore them.  Here's a lovely one Kendall coloured in for me earlier this afternoon.  Thought I'd bring out my stash of roses which I haven't used for a while for this card and the combination was perfect.  Covered them with glitter and will post close up pics.
