Just Sharing

Here's wishing you all a very blessed Sunday.  It's 06.44 as I type this post and it seems as if it is going to be a glorious day in Cape Town today.  Fresh, crisp air blowing through my window and lovely streaks of sunshine dancing on my bed...

Don't forget to pop around to Kenny K's Krafty Girlz challenge blog later today, as we have a new challenge for you.  Our Team B is showcasing some stunning cards for your inspiration. All you need to do is use a Kenny K image which you can purchase from Kenny's Shop.

Last Saturday I mentioned that Kendall and I had joined a decoupage class at Creative Talents.  Here is the Memory Box which she made...  isn't it gorgeous?  She coloured in the Tilda's herself and is loving it!

Here is a pic taken from the side.  Isn't it pretty?   Unfortunately the glue that was used was not strong enough to keep the cardboard pasted onto the box. If anyone has a suggestion of what we can try, please share it. We are so disappointed and have tried just about everything. We don't have one of those glue guns and I somehow think that may be the answer to this problem...

And finally for today... I quickly whipped up this little Sympathy Card this morning, which I need to take around to my folks today... the mother of someone they know passed away and they want to send a card... I don't have enough sentiments, which I really am trying to rectify.  Must add a Sympathy one to my list... It's one of those that you think "when will I ever use it", but there will be an occasion one day... I really prefer the stamped Sentiments to the computer-generated one's.

It's plain and simple and this time I used the gorgeous bouquet of flowers from Elisabeth Bell's designs. It's the first time I am using it and I've coloured it in with pale pastel chalk. I am loving this affect right now.  The nestie is one of Nellie Snellen's and the gorgeous organza ribbon was purchased from Creative Talents last week.

Here is a close-up... You can pick up the shimmer nicely on the paper that I use for my stamping. I just love it and it works so well with copics too.

That's it for now folks... thanks for popping by.  Apologies for the lack of posting this week, but I haven't been creating anything as I have been too tired.  I have enjoyed viewing your creations though.  I have been commissioned to make a few Christmas cards and will have to start cracking on those, as well as my own supply... so there is lots of work to do... I just need to find the energy...

Tons of hugs, Sharon

Hey Sharon. Sorry to hear about the lack of energy. I must admit to feeling the same after the week we just had. I even slept in until 6:30am yesterday which is unheard of for me! Hope you feel better soon my friend xx

Your5 CAS card is lovely Sha, love the muted tones, very elegant.
Kendall's memory box is so beautiful what a pity its all coming apart. The book binding glue that i keep would have worked and held it together for the next hundred years. You may wanna try Modge podge.

Sharon, that memory box is gorgeous! I wish I could be more helpful on some glue, but that cardboard stuff is hard to stick to. I wonder if score tape would work? Anyhow, is is very pretty and your card is gorgeous.
Hugs, Dena
