Simply Magnolia (DT) - A Card, but not Square

Hello friends

A very warm welcome to yet another challenge for ALL those Maggie lovers at Simply Magnolia.  Our challenge for you this fortnight is to make a Card, but not a Square...;)

As you all know, most of my cards are square ones, but I quickly ordered some pre-scored and cut step cards from the lovely Paula at Which Craft in the UK, so I was prepared for this challenge... LOL  Clever hey!

Oh boy.... do you girls make those step cards look soooo gorgeous and beautiful.  As this was my first one, I really struggled to decorate it.  Why is that???  So after staring at it for absolute ages, I managed to come up with this little number. Hope you like it?

The beauty on the left was coloured with a combination of Copics and Chalks.  The lovely at the back, just Copics.  The papers are from the Me to You, Spring Chic collection.  The gorgeous Tilda's can be purchased from our wonderful sponsors for this challenge, Tilda's Town.

Here's a side view, so you can see those steps a bit better.  Please do visit the rest of the SMDT girlies blogs, as they have some wonderful creations for your inspiration.

Thanks for popping by and good luck with the challenge.

hugs Sharon x

p.s.  Would those girls who know of any other crafters who make the most awesome step cards, please email me the blog addresses privately.  Thanks.

I have just discovered these step cards too and am addicted to them. I like to make them cos they are so different and you can really get depth by having the 3 layers. I raise my front layer above the strip my second a bit more and my third a lot, not necessarily to the same level at the front, if that makes sense.

Thanks for the comment and the follow. Yes you missed a great event. We had a ball and learned tons. You can get Enmarc products from The Scrapbook Factory shop in Salt River. I think that the Scrapbook place in Canal Walk might also have.
