Blessings Jar to share

Hello friends

I was so inspired after reading this post of a fellow South African blogger, who is living in Abu Dhabi, that I shared the post with my fellow Christians at work.  I thought it would be a super idea to jot down all the Blessings we will be receiving this year, so that when the road uphill seems to be a bit of a struggle, just reading the many blessings we have received should give us renewed Hope and Faith that things can and will only get better.

My prayer friend Abi, asked if I would make her a Blessings Jar and brought this one to work for me to alter.  Just before I started this project I browsed Pinterest for some ideas. There are some beautiful creations out there.  I have now created an Altered Jars board on my Pinterest profile.

Here are some pics which I would like to share with you.  As you know, I love the colour PINK, so it was just natural to decorate the jar with this colour.

I found some hessian or burlap cloth which I purchased a while ago.  Just knew it would come in handy one day  and covered the jar all round with that.
I then went about adding some lovely pink lace on top and bottom.

I just tied the lace at the back of the jar, to form a nice bow and added some tiny ribbons and flowers on the hessian and ribbon.
This is a side view, where I hung a lovely thin metal pink heart and strung lovely "praying angel"
and "hand made with love" charms through the pink string.

Here is a close up pic of the heart and angel. Sorry it is so blurry!

I created a tag and just wrote Blessings Jar by hand.

And another final pic of the front of the Blessings Jar.

I hope this post has inspired you to make your own Blessings Jar.  I think it would make a nice gift for a friend too, don't you think ?

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.

Warm wishes
