One more post to share with you and then I must get back to doing some real work ;) I am crazy about cupcakes and haven't been able to find a lovely cupcake stamp in the craft shops I've been browsing, so last night I decided to draw my own, which I then coloured in using my new art pencil crayons which I purchased from Deckle Edge at Willowbridge Centre. I then used my glitter glue to bring a bit of life to it and was extremely pleased with the outcome. I am now going to design a variety of cupcakes to colour in and make cards with. There is something about a cupcake cookie, whether you eat it (yum-yum) or receive it in a card form, it just makes one feel special and loved. This is how I would like the recipient of this card to feel when they receive it from a friend. Until next time, be good :)
Welcome to my little corner of the world. This is where I share bits and pieces of my creative talents. Why don't you grab a cuppa and visit for a while.

Peek-a-boo! Don't you just love this little mouse stamp? Unfortunately there wasn't one for sale, but Charmaine allowed me to make 6 stamps on a page which I then bought from her. Broke my heart to pay for it, but I'll be looking out for this stamp in other craft shops to purchase, then I can make 100's of them.
Hi Everyone, hope you all had a super weekend. Wasn't the weather gorgeous? Nice to have got some washing done, dried and ironed in a weekend hey? I've been so lazy doing housework as I've just been making cards, so this weekend Kendall and I really did a major springclean and our place looks decent enough to receive visitors again. Found a stunning warehouse in Northumberland Street in Bellville called the Plastic Warehouse and we went absolutely MAD!!! I bought a 4 drawer plastic pedestal with lovely deeeep shelves to take all my cardstock, stamps, etc. so that they don't sit on the diningroom table. Every time I sat down to make a card I would have to take all the material out of the cupboard and put it back again. What a pain!! Now I have this practical pedestal (on wheels) which I can move around. What a lovely storage space it is - yay! We went dilly again this weekend purchasing some lovely stamps for our cards and I'll post a few of the new cards I made for you to look at. Hope you like them?27 August 2009

What a gorgeous evening we had last night. Not so cold... is Spring on its way? Hmm, just the thought of those long daylight hours makes my toes curl as I can then make cards until late. Thought I would post one of the cards I made last night -for a baby boy. Nice and bright and colourful. Amazing what one can do with some stickers hey?

Made this car the other evening for my friend who is going into hospital. Just wanted to wish her well. First time that I'm actually using the stamps. I thought the card looked as if it needed something more and once I'd stamped over it, it took on a completely different look. I'm very pleased with the effect and will be using the stamp more often now.17 August 2009

Thank You
A HUGE thank you for all the positive comments I've received regarding my cards. These are from friends and family of friends who have seen the actual cards. The compliments are a huge inspiration. Thanks so much for your support, I really appreciate it.
Hi friends... just 1 more day and then it is the start of the weekend. Yay! The day has finally arrived where we'll be attending our first card-making class and we can't wait to see what Charmaine has in store for us. We will definitely take some pics to share our new creations with you.
Hope you like my Blog's new look? It's taken me a while, but I'm learning new things all the time and the Blog is really taking shape now. I'm absolutely thrilled with the look!! Hope you are too.
Chatted to my friend Majda and she's given me loads of tips on where to shop for reasonably priced ribbon for my cards. Will have to make a plan to get there soon. Majda designs her own exclusive range of luxury leather handbags and purses. Please visit her website. Her products are only sold in the most exclusive shops in South Africa. She exports her products overseas as well.

Just had to try out my little Cuttlebug again and made these 2 baby cards. Showed my friends at work and they are so impressed. Thank goodness it's Friday today. Will be making a lot of cards this weekend. Next Saturday is our first lesson with Charmaine. We can't wait! Am so eager to see what we'll be making and then to apply this new-found knowledge.
My very first embossed card! A friend of Kendall's asked me to make her a 21st card for a male friend. We chose a beautiful bronze-coloured shimmer card and then a contrasting cream-coloured card on which to emboss our design. We bought ribbon and an engraved bronze buckle to finish it off. Used bronze glitter for the 21. My client was extremely happy with the result - I am so pleased, as we were very impressed with the result last night.
I am sooooooo excited!!! Last night I bought myself a Cuttlebug, which is the little green machine in the picture above. I am not 100% sure of the correct terminology, so the experts must please forgive me, but you buy see through plates with designs on them, place your paper between the 2 perspex sheets that come with the machine and then run it over the plate by turning the handle on the right hand side. The paper comes out completely embossed with the design of the plate. I'll be loading some new cards I made last night, as I just had to try out our little machine. Thanks to Kendall for doing the embossing for me!04 August 2009
A friend asked me to make her a 21st birthday card, no frills. I found this picture and printed it onto white card paper. I had some pink fluted paper which is actually a DVD box which I received as a gift about a year ago (I don't throw anything away, as I know it will come in useful one day !). I then stuck the white card onto the pink fluted card with double sided tape and with my glue, glitter and a bow just dollied it up a bit. Emailed the pic to my friend and she's extremely happy with the result. Yay!
