Time to start with those Birthday Cards...
Hello my lovely blog buddies... I hope you all survived Christmas, just New Year to get behind us and then life can get back to normal. Thanks for popping by my blog today and a very warm welcome to any new crafters that have joined.
I am so pleased you've popped by, as I've rearranged my craft desk and it's inspired me to start making some cards whilst I'm still enjoying being on leave. It's not too early to start making those Birthday cards we all need during the year, and so I've decided to go with this cute little Elisabeth Bell image for my first one. I have no idea what her name is, as she was stamped by a friend.
I coloured her in with Copics and used some of my pencils for shading certain parts. The DP is GINGHAM PINK from Arts From The Heart (http://www.artsfromtheheart.co.za/) and I really hope I bought a few sheets, as I love it! You will notice that I've stamped small flowers all over the paper with my Versa Magic fast-drying chalk ink, Pink Petunia. This hobby is about stamping... right, and this year I plan to use more of those stamps that have been collecting dust in my drawers...
When time allows... I really enjoy decorating the inside of my cards as well and as can be seen from the pic above, I have done just that. Used the GINGHAM PINK again and left a nice white piece of card for the Personal Message inside. Used one of my punches to give some pizazz to the corners... sadly, also one of those items that have been neglected and it looks so NICE !!! I think we have so many toys to play with, that we actually forget what we have. Time to take note and draw up an inventory list for oneself...
As my regular followers know... I love my girlies and usually like to end with a close up for you all to enjoy. I hope you can see the Dimensional Glaze that I've used on some of the special bits, just to add a bit of oomph!
Thanks for popping by and leaving a lovely comment, I so enjoy reading them. Enjoy the rest of your week, Sharon x

Teddy Stampers - DT
Good Morning Everyone... this is officially my first day of leave... yay!!! Welcome to another challenge at Teddy Stampers. Today we'd like you to follow a sketch by our lovely Jerusha and to use the colours of Red, White and Green on your card/project...
This gorgeous image was kindly stamped for me by my SA stamping friend, Gail Grant. Thanks so much Gail! The colour combination, for me, just cried out for yet another Christmas card...
I've taken another pic, so that you can see the glitter on the lake that our Teddy is skating on... I have kept the embellies to the minimim, just adding a few snowflakes which another blogfriend kindly punched for me... I am sure it was Christine, thanks honey! I just added red and green pearls to the centres. My image was coloured in with Copics and I also used my LYRA pencils.
Our sponsor this fortnight is Michelle's Scrapbooking and More... Please visit her website as there are loads of crafty stash for you to buy...
Thank you so much for joining us once again. We so enjoy having you play with us and look forward to viewing your creations.
Here's wishing all Teddy Stampers supporters a very Blessed Christmas and... if you've been good girls during the year... I hope Santa will leave loads of wonderful crafty stash under the Christmas tree for you... hugs Sharon xx

Summer in Cape Town
Morning dear blogfriends... no card today, but just wanted to share...
Whilst most of you in the Northern Hemisphere are freezing your tooties off... I thought I would share this pic which I took on my BB yesterday afternoon, with you. It was taken from the room where we were having our year-end function and it was sweltering hot outside... the beach looked so inviting and there were so many tanned bodies to be seen... ohhhh, why didn't I start that diet earlier as my dear sister suggested ??... lol
Summer has officially arrived in Cape Town !!! That's Table Mountain in the distance and this was taken from Moyo's on the Beach at Blouberg. (If you have the time, please click on the links to see some awesome photographs).
The weather and the fact that next week Wednesday will be my last day in office for 3 whole weeks, as I go on my annual vacation, reminds me of that movie I saw as child with Cliff Richard singing this song... (all sing along now)

We're all going on a summer holiday
no more working for a week or two.
Fun and laughter on our summer holiday,
no more worries for me or you,
for a week or two.
We're going where the sun shines brightly
we're going where the sea is blue.
We've all seen it on the movies,
now let's see if it's true.
Everybody has a summer holiday
doin' things they always wanted to
So we're going on a summer holiday,
to make our dreams come true
for me and you.
For me and you.
Here's wishing you all a wonderful day further, tons of hugs, Sharon

Christmas Cards with Maggies... and I am a Winner!
Hello everyone... a warm welcome to my new Creative Friends, so nice to have you on board, I look forward to visiting you soon.
I've been making a few Christmas cards to add to my supply for this year. These are incredibly plain, as they need to be posted (can't make them too heavy with embellies...lol)... hope you like them... For this one I've used Tilda with a Wreath (kindly stamped for me by a friend)... Papers are from W&M...
And a close up...
Here's another one Tilda with Cherries, a recent purchase from 7 Kids College Fund Shop... Let me tell you, I have been purchasing from 7Kids for a while now and am extremely happy with the service. If any of the local SA girls are looking for a new Online Shop, this is the one to purchase from...
Another close up... The sentiment is from Happy Daze, I just love this one...

Loving my Maggies...
Good Morning bloggers... TGIF... yep, the weekend is just a few hours away. Firstly, a very warm welcome to some new faces. Thanks so much for joining my Creative Friends list, I look forward to getting to know you better
Last night I couldn't resist making a few notelets for myself with my new little Maggies that have been dying to be showcased... they were coloured in a while ago, so all I needed to do was choose some paper and place them on a card... They were purchased from 7 Kids College Fund
In yesterday's post I shared some Notelet cards I'd made for a gift and I am just loving this size card right now. It's 14.5cm x 10.5cm and fits perfectly into a normal sized envelope. My usual square cards are 15 x 15cm.
Well here they are, I've used Tilda with her Bike and Tilda on the Loose... aren't they adorable ??
Uh... I am not sure where that dot on Tilda's forehead came from... only noticed it as I was doing this post... too bad, can't change it now!
I have just joined the Magnolia-licious Yahoo Group and have been amazed at the beautiful blogs I seemed to have missed in blogland... If you love Magnolias, then you will have to join this group... It's a real treat for the eye!
Can't wait for the weekend to play with some more Maggies... My order from 7 Kids College Fund has arrived. Customs got hold of it and will be sending it to my local PO tomorrow... yay!!!! I am really loving them right now! Thanks so much for visiting and leaving a comment, always appreciated. hugs Sharon

A Birthday & Notelet Cards
Good evening dear blogfriends... well, the weekend is almost upon us and I'm certainly looking forward to it. It has got a bit overcast and a few showers are expected overnight or early tomorrow morning... what a relief!
I haven't been sitting idle this week. I've made another birthday card, which I was commissioned to do and in addition, I decided to make a few blank Notelet cards as a gift set for someone who is celebrating her birthday today. I thoroughly enjoyed making them last night. It was really a challenge just using paper, ribbon and embellies with NO STAMPS... yikes!!!... but I was so pleased with the result that I am going to make a few more to keep on hand for those special occasions during the year. This is a lengthy post because of all the pics, so hang in there...
Here's the birthday card... just love those MME papers and ribbon...
The lovely punched white border was sent to me by my blogfriend Amelia. I just love them and you'll see a few more in the next set of Notelets I've made. Here's my first Notelet card. The flowers were a gift from Amelia as well. Just love them. They just added the finishing touch to this card, don't you think? I've used my embossed folder again and am so enjoying doing so.
And here's my second Notelet card. The gorgeous flower was a purchase from Scrap Delight at Burgundy Square. They are covered in glitter and are absolutely stunning! Once again this border was punched out for me by Amelia, thanks so much, doesn't it make a pretty picture?
Notelet number 3... Once again using lovely papers from MME and my tiny pink pearls and flower. Added some pins, which I haven't used for a while and threaded some beads onto them... hope you like it? Apologies for the quality of this pic...
Almost done... here's Notelet number 4... I just LOVE this lace which Amelia sent me. I am using it sparingly because it is so stunning, I want it to last forEVER...lol Just added a few pearls for a bit of class...
And now for the final one... if you've lasted this long, thanks so much, I appreciate it...
Once again the border punched for me by Amelia... thanks so much my friend, I just love this one to bits... it has made such a pretty card.
That's it for this evening. Thanks so much for passing by once again. I hope I have inspired you to try something new... no stamps... perhaps there is still time to make a few notelets for that girlfriend of yours before Christmas. I am sure she will appreciate them...
Tons of hugs, Sharon

Birthday Card
Morning friends... I thought I'd just share a very different card with you this time, a little C&S (clean and simple) Birthday card I made the other evening. It literally took me about 15-20 minutes or so (can you tell? hehehe). The papers are from W&M. I'm not sure if I've used their blues before. Don't you think it's pretty? The stamp is such a nice one, from a local company in SA.
I've added a little pink pearl for a touch of class...and a bit of glitter to the darker stars...
Thanks for popping by and leaving a comment. I so enjoy reading them. Have a super day further... hugs Sharon
