Gosh, where is the week going to? Not that I am complaining mind you... As a working girl we lurrrvveee out weekends, don't we ? They can't come quick enough, especially if you're a crafter, right? LOL
I'm on leave on Friday, as I have a stove that is tripping my electricity so I have to be at home to wait for the technician to come sort it out and they can't give you a time, so it's a case of sitting and waiting for him to arrive. I have such a lot to do in any case, that my day is going to be quite busy. Have to renew my car licence too and I want to be there EARLY to avoid the queues, so no laying in late for me on Friday!
This afternoon a colleague at work asked me to make her a gift for a friend. She asked if she could have it by Friday and when I told her I won't be in on Friday, I could see the disappointment on her face. Oh heck, says I, don't worry, I'll have it ready by tomorrow. So... that's what I've been doing this evening once the lights came back on!!!
Must be old age, but I FORGOT that the darn stove is tripping the electricity, so there I go earlier this evening and prepare some nice chicken pieces, spice it, cover it with foil and pop it in the oven to cook.... all goes well for about 15 minutes and then POOF, darkness descends in my home. Uhhh... I think to myself must be that darn Eskom again with their load-shedding and I look out the window but all is lit up brightly around our complex. It was then that the lightswitch in my frikkin' brain goes back ON... hellooooooo.... and I remember it's that darn stove of mine again. Over the weekend we thought it was just the plates that was causing the tripping, as the oven was working fine, but the problem seems to have moved across to the oven now as well. Roll on Friday is all I can say!!! I can just see Rands and Cents when I open my eyes... Sorry about that, just had to vent a bit!
Here's the Notebook I was talking about. I hope Linda will be happy with it and more so, that her friend will like it too... (smile)
I've kept it quite simple, devoid of too many embellishments. Think I've just got enough though.
