Quixotic Paperie - Your Favourite Card for 2009

Elaine at Quixotic Paperie has asked us to choose our favourite card for the year and to enter it into a draw for some awesome New Year Blog Candy.  Wow... that's a difficult one I thought to myself... I haven't been in blogland for a year yet, but thought I'd take part in this challenge and started sifting through some of the cards I've made these past few months.  Gosh... was I totally amazed at how my style has grown and developed in such a short space of time!  (Thanks to all of you who inspire me so much!) I initially started a blog to share my creations with friends and family and things just snowballed from there... my first international follower was from Holland and soon crafters from all over the world and here at home in South Africa started joining.  I am still blown away when I look at how many hits I've had on my blog. I've made some wonderful friends and value every one of you.

Here is the card I have chosen from my creations which is special to me. It was my first square card and my daughter, Kendall, kindly drew the cotton reel for me, as I couldn't find one to download from the web for Tilda to sit on.  This little card drew a lot of comments and compliments, for which I am very grateful.  Strangely enough, it was also entered in QP's Challenge # 2.  I hope you agree with my selection and thought it was worth sharing with you again.

Thanks for popping by regularly, you really make my day! I wish you all a very Happy New Year and may 2010 be kind to all of us!!  Take care if you are celebrating this evening... I look forward to catching up with you soon, smiles Sharon

Oh Sharon it is indeed a delightful card ! I do love everything about it... I feel exactly the same as you, although I only started my blog a few months ago I can see that, thanks to all the inspiration other crafters give me, my card making has changed... Have a lovely evening ! Take care... Hugs and smile from Catherine (I know, I should be doing my ironing...)
