All Sorts & Totally Gorjuss Challenges

Hello my dear friends... thank you to each and every one of you who have visited me over the past few days.  Your lovely comments have made me smile again and I thank you for your good wishes for my father. Each day he seems to be getting better!

I thought I would combine 2 challenges today, the first from All Sorts Challenge, their recipe asks for a creation with Hearts & Flowers and I had the perfect paper for this one, see below.  Please visit their blog, their DT have created some awesome projects, which is hugely inspiring.  As I have some new Gorjuss Girl stamps, I can now early double points (hehe) when taking part in the Totally Gorjuss challenges, so I couldn't wait to ink and colour this gorgeous girl. Their recipe asks that you create Dimension in your project.  I'll explain as I share my creation with you.

Base: A lovely navy cardstock. I must really get some more darker coloured cardstock as they just give more depth to your card, don't you agree?
DP:  A stunning piece of pink Design Paper with Flowers and Hearts on it, helloooo.... am I lucky or what, fits perfectly with the theme.
Image: Gorjuss Girl with Teddy coloured in with Copics. I purchased some stunning paper from Paola's Scrapnook as well as a Momento Inkpad for stamping my images.  It really makes the world of difference when colouring in with the Copics, the colours just blend much better than on the usual white card I was using before.  Thanks to everyone for commenting on my colouring, now you know why it's looking so great!  If you have the right tools, you can create wonders!
Embellies: Once again from Paola's Scrapnook, a lovely heart charm to keep in tune with the theme and pink spotted organza ribbon.  The pearl hatpin I purchased from a lovely scrappy shop at Parow Centre and I am definitely going to purchase some more. They just add a bit of class to one's creation, don't you think?  I do not have a heart shaped cutter, so the hearts were drawn and cut out by myself - please don't look too closely and see how wonky they are ;).  I matted them onto white cardstock and then used double sided tape for dimension.

A view of the inside of the card. Once again to complement the outside, I used lovely pink card matted onto white card.  I further embellished by adding 2 more hearts and a pink flower on the top.  Doesn't it make you feel like writing a nice message for a friend?  Sorry it is so blurry, just can't get it right. Maybe I should check the settings on my camera.

Thanks so much for visiting, if you like this little creation, I'd love for you to leave a comment.  Enjoy what's left of your Sunday, tons of hugs, Sharon x

Sharon, So sorry to have not visited for a little bit. And sorry to hear your father has not been well. I hope he improves soon. The last few cards are so lovely. You always make such wonderful creations. I really like the layout on your last two and Willow is such an adorable image--so sweet. The little touches you add on the inside of the cards are perfect. That is something I have rarely done but am trying to work on adding.

As always, your cards are such a treat. Love to browse your blog. Take care and hope your father gets better each day. Hugs, Sharron
