Quixotic Paperie Challenge # 10 : Ink Up an Old Stamp

Greetings again everyone... I am slowly but surely finding my feet in blogland again. Thank you so very much for all your warm wishes for my father's health. I saw him again today and he is improving so much. I firmly believe in the Power of Prayer and am hoping he will make a full recovery so that we can celebrate his 75th birthday on the 8th February. My script for my specs was incorrect, so it's being redone and I'll get them back early next week!

I made this card for the Quixotic Paperie Challenge. Their brief was to Ink Up an Old Stamp and make a card.  This stamp was sent to me by a dear friend in Australia and I coloured her in ages ago, but somehow she just didn't make it onto a card.  As I was sifting through my "old" images I thought she deserved to be introduced to all of you and I'm actually quite pleased with the result and hope you are too...

My recipe for this card is as follows
Base: Lovely turquoise cardstock.
DP:  The DP is from very old stash of mine, a freeby when I purchased a copy of the Papercraft magazine.  I was lucky to find another lovely piece of purple card to matt onto the turquoise.
Nesties: As I don't have all the fabulous tools, my friend Paola kindly cut some out for me. Thanks so much Paola, it's wonderful having all these lovely goodies to enhance my cards with.
Image: As I mentioned earlier, this was stamped by my friend Sammi and coloured in with my Copics. Not that I must say so myself, but I'm sure I've improved since then ;)
Embellies: I've used my new stash from Paola's Shop - flat backed peals in turquoise and lilac.  I have such a variety of colours now, it is just too wonderful for words. I feel very blessed!!!  Hope you like my flowers, aren't they adorable? Just added a few buttons in the right bottom corner, as it looked a bit bare and I didn't want to overdo it by adding more flowers!

That's it for now folks... I must dash.. it's still early (5.32pm) and I've got plenty more challenges to take part in before this weekend is over (inbetween housework too, mind you!). It's lovely being back, missed chatting with you. Thanks for popping by and I look forward to your lovely comments.  Take care... hugs Sharon xx
