A Box of Sweets...

Happy Thursday everyone and a very warm welcome to my new Creative Friends... thanks for joining my blog. I plan to visit your blogs soon, if I haven't done so already.

Earlier this week I showcased the first box I've ever made and today I am showcasing my second box which I made on Tuesday evening.  I have a box of Date & Honey Tea which I purchase regularly (from Diskem) and as I was about to throw the empty box away, I stopped in my tracks and decided to take it apart to cut out a template, so that I could make a duplicate box.  It was so easy to do and I really hope you like this one too.

I used 12x12 pink AC cardstock to cut out my box and then I used a piece of ribbon to embellish around it. Onto the ribbon I glued some pink flowers. For the top I matted a  piece of leftover patterned paper onto a white piece of  card and glued both onto the lid of the box for a bit of weight.  Further embellished with same ribbon, a star brad and a butterfly punched with my MS punch.

I found the AC cardstock a bit too soft which was disappointing.  The kraft paper from which I made my first box was far sturdier.

This box was made specially for Abi in celebration of Secretaries' Day on Wednesday, 1 September and I filled it with some super Cappucino-flavoured Sparkles.

Thanks for popping by and leaving a comment. I appreciate every single one.  Hugs Sharon x
