Hello...

Greetings all... I met 2 blogfriends last week... it was so nice to finally meet Debbie whom I think I've been chatting with via email for almost a year now and Gail, who is a member of the Rubber Stamping Yahoo group we all belong to.  Gail had a lovely tea laid on at her home, which is just 2 minutes from where I work, with scrumptious eats... We spent about an hour together chatting about our mutual hobby and sharing ideas of where to buy this crafty goodie and that one... Needless to say I spent some money, but it was definitely worthwhile.

Debbie posted a card on her blog recently and I emailed her to find out where I could get the stamp.  As it was one she had stamped for herself from a friend, she kindly offered to give me 2 that she still had... now aren't crafty friends just the nicest people...  I was thrilled to bits...  I just love this friendly little HELLO stamp and couldn't wait to make card with it...
I just used bits and pieces of leftover DP for this card and they blended so well together.

I know it's a "funny" shaped card, but I just thought I would try something different. Hope you like the Happy Birthday sentiment, which is one of the freebies I received with the purchase of my favourite overseas magazine.

I added some dimension glaze to make those flowers and the Hello "pop".  This stamp is adorable and makes me think of Spring, which still seems very far away at the moment. It is freezing cold here at home (not sure what it's like outside, as I'm housebound at the moment).

It's Kendall's birthday tomorrow and today I sit remembering 25 years ago being wheeled into theatre at 3.30pm on 23rd September with my camera perched on my HUGE tummy, reminding the Paediatrician that he mustn't forget to take photographs of everything, seeing that I was going to miss it all. We didn't have epidural caesars then and in any case, I am such a bangbroek (scary cat), I would have opted to be put out in any event... lol  Kendall was lying breech and my kidneys had started to pack up, hence the decision to do the caesar then, 11 days before her due date.  What an absolute blessing and a joy she has been to me...  I am such a proud Mommy!

Thanks for popping around, I love reading your comments and will endeavour to return the favour within the next few days.

Hugs and blessings, Sharon x
