A Trunk Box...

Thank you to all the regulars who have been visiting me lately and for leaving such sweet comments, you are the best... I promise this is my last post for the day... With the real winter's weather we're experiencing today, it's been the perfect weather to stay indoors and craft... I love those days!!!

Well... as I was reading through my 2 new papercraft books that I purchased a few days ago, my eye fell on this cute little Trunk Box tutorial inside and I just had to try my hand at making this one... As you all know, I am trying new things here... hope you like it.  Don't look too closely now, it's my first attempt and still needs to be perfected...lol

A colleague at work loves the clean & simple look for her cards and I quickly whipped up these 2 to take tomorrow.  Hope she likes them.  The stamp is from a local company, Great Impressions.  I just love this one.  Stamped it with the THoltz distress inkpad, Vintage Photo.  Am just loving this at the moment!

I found some oriental paper and used that to decorate my box.  I then punched 2 different sized flowers, same design, and glued the smaller onto the larger one. Finished off my adding a red pearl in the centre.

For the top of the lid I just punched out a red flower and cut a nice square to place on the top. Then I punched a black flower to place in the centre, topping it off with a bigger red pearl than those used on the sides.

That's it for now.  I'm off to get ready for the movie on the telly tonight - Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince

Thanks for sharing your Sunday with me.  I'll catch up with you again in the week.  Tons of hugs, Sharon x

Enjoy your HP film, I like the books best, but I'm a bit of a book worm.

Oh my, I love the CAS look!!! Such a gorgeous set! And how you get such clear results with Distress Inks is beyond me - I always get a bit uneven lines with it!
