Birthday Cards

Morning... and a happy Sunday to you all... hope you have a wonderful day with family and/or friends...  The weather is slightly overcast in Cape Town today, which suits me just fine... gotta go out in few minutes, so this is a quick post.  A very warm welcome to some new faces amongst my Creative Friends. I am so pleased you found something that you liked which made you decide to join.  I'll be popping around for a visit to your part of the world soon...

As it's my father and niece's birthdays within the next 2 weeks, I quickly put these 2 cards together and thought I'd share them with you.  These are what I'd call CAS... a look I am trying to master, so be kind!!! LOL

For my Dad...

I just love these card Candies that I bought from Crafty Emma's Store.  They come in so handy at times. I am not sorry I purchased them.  I am also using my nesties more with this type of look.  It's perfect for those sentiments.

And here's the card I made for Monique... she doesn't like the Maggies (I KNOW, I also can't understand it!!), so I think this CAS card will be a hit...

The DP is what I have had for absolute ages... one way of using all the bits and pieces we have in our drawers hey!  And now for a peek at the inside...

And another view, just for good measure...LOL   As you can see, no glitz and glam on these cards, but I think they'll do just fine...

The birthday boy and girl don't visit my blog, so no fear that they'll see their cards before they receive them...LOL   Thank you so much for taking the time to pop around. I so enjoy your visits and reading your comments.  Catch up with you all later.  hugs Sharon x

Birthday Cards received

My second post for the day and it's only 07h00...  As it's my birthday tomorrow, 2 August, I  thought I would share some birthday cards I've received this week from fellow crafters.  I hope you don't mind me sharing, but these are such talented ladies, their work deserves a showcase on my blog.

From my lovely DT sister at Teddy Stampers, Annie, thanks so much honey. Your card is stunning. x

From my other DT sister at Teddy Stampers, Cherie, thanks so much. Cherie made a box to place her card in and sent me stunning flowers and stamped images - all teddies... I certainly have enough to keep me busy for the next 30 DT assignments at TS...lol Thanks honey, this is beautiful x

My sister sent me this card made by a South African stamper, Jenny, who lives in East London, South Africa.  To my knowledge, Jenny does not have a blog, but I feel the need to showcase her card today. I will send her the link and hope it will encourage her to start one soon. It's a mission of mine to get the South African girls to start their own blogs so that they can showcase their cards... come on girls, don't be shy.  You will have tremendous FUN!

Wishing you all a blessed Sunday... love and blessings, Sharon xoxox
