Totally Gorjuss (GDT) - Circles

It's Saturday!  Welcome to another challenge at Totally Gorjuss.  As you can see from my card below, the challenge is Circles this week.  Please visit the challenge blog to view the rest of the DT's cards... there are some awesome creations for your inspiration.

This was a real challenge for me.  I've never made a circle card before and had to ask a friend of mine how to cut this Marianne Die so that it doesn't cut all the way through.  So... armed with a few notes, I set about inserting the die onto the paper and voila!... here's my Circle card.  I'm into the Clean and Simple cards right now... no image.  The beautiful paper is a pad called Annalee, a purchase from Crafty Emma's Store in the UK and I think the sentiment is from LOTV.  Made a bow out of seam binding, a purchase from Creative Treasures.  The gorgeous cherry blossom is also from them and the flat backed pearls from Paola.

Our sponsor this week is Crafter's Companion... do pay them a visit.  Thanks for popping by.  Have a super crafting weekend.  It's cold and wet in Cape Town... finally we have typical August weather in the Cape.

Totally Gorjuss (GDT) - Punches & Die

Welcome to another challenge at Totally Gorjuss.  We'd love for you to haul out those Punches and Dies and join in our new challenge this week.

I've decided to go for the Clean and Simple look, using no image.....

As you can see a very simple card with the focus centering just on the dies and punches I've chosen.  The heart shaped die is from the Nellie Snellen range of dies.  The swirl is a Marianne Design and the butterfly and zig zag punch are from the Martha Stewart range.  Ribbon and paper from my stash.  The sentiment is new, don't you just love it!

Our sponsor this week is The Hobby House.... do pop around and pay them a visit.

Don't forget to visit our challenge blog where you'll find lots of inspiration from the TG Design Team.  We love visiting you, so dust off those dies and punches and we'll pop around and visit you soon.

Take care, hugs Sharon x

Introducing Secret Tilda...

Firstly... a very warm welcome to my new Followers... always a thrill when someone new feels they'd like to stay in touch, as it means they've seen something that they like... It also gives me the opportunity to pop around and draw inspiration from your creations, so thank you for joining!

As you know, Kendall and I went to see Riverdance this afternoon... we could not take any pics of the show itself (to prove that we were there... hehe), due to copyright protection, but I did manage to take this pic inside as the Arena was filling up... flip, I am scared of heights and our seats were second row from the back riiiiiiggghhhht at the top... I almost freaked out.  It was our first visit and I really had no idea what the layout would be like... now I know for next time!!!  The picture is slightly blurry because it was taken (sneakily) with my Blackberry...

The show was nothing short of FABULOUS!!!! and seeing these Irish dancers in real life, after seeing them on television, was an even bigger thrill.  Gosh... they are AMAZING!!  Their precision is perfect each and every time.  If you've missed out seeing the show this time in SA, you'd better get to see them when they visit again... You will NOT be disappointed!

Right... now let me share with you what I did after the show... As you know I received some new stash from Paola yesterday and I tell you, I couldn't WAIT to get my hands on my new goodies...  So, without further ado, let me introduce the gorgeous little Secret Tilda (purchased from 7 Kids College Fund) for the first time at Sharon's Kardz Korner...ta-raaaaa

The base of my card is white, layered onto that is brown cardstock and then some gorgeous pink, blue and green floral designer paper form W&M.  I HAD to use my new nestie from Marianne Design, as this little girl is quite big for her age, but she fits so nicely on this new die!  Don't you just love it????  It really goes through the cuttlebug quite easily  and cuts very nicely.

I've decorated the inside of the card as well and decided to use the Marianne Die again for the message.

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:

Just Magnolia challenge, as I have followed the wonderful sketch by Mina and
All That Scraps Magnolia challenge blog, where they are Celebrating Birthdays

As you can see, I've kept the inside very plain.  To end off, thanks so much if you've stuck with me so far, a close up of this gorgeous little Maggie, which I've coloured with Copics... The lovely cherry blossoms and pearls were also purchased from Paola.

Well, as they say in the movies... that's it folks!   A lengthy post I know, but I appreciate you bearing with me.

I hope you've had a wonderful Saturday.  Enjoy the rest of your evening and we'll catch up again tomorrow I'm sure... Happy Crafting, hugs Sharon xx
