Happy Wednesday friends and HAPPY SPRING DAY to all my southern hemisphere friends. Today marks the start of Spring in South Africa!
I thought I would share a card I made on Sunday. I have a few outstanding Thank You's to return for the lovely gifts I received for my birthday. You know how it goes, you send a Thank You email and later when you're crafting, out comes some of the new stash you received as a gift and you think WOW how lucky was I to have received all these flowers... I feel an email just doesn't express one's appreciation as much as a card would... so that's what I've been busy with, amongst other little projects, which will be shared with you later in the year...
This card was made with someone special in mind. I won't reveal her name, but if she's visiting today, I hope she'll remember this post when her card arrives. I had such fun with this new Magnolia image which my friend Paola stamped for me. Thanks so much Paola... The papers are freebies from MME, which I am just loving right now! Flowers from my current stash, as well as the pearlised hatpin and beads. This is the first time that I am showcasing my new Nellie Snellen die. I just love it and have already ordered the square one. Contact Paola if you want to order one too.
And now for a peek at the inside of the card. After I cut the die for the front of the card, I kept the frame as I thought it could be used again (I hate wasting anything) and I am so pleased I did, as I created a frame around the space where I am going to write my message. Don't you think that's cool (or is it kewl?!?!?)...lol

Hope you had as much fun crafting as I did over the weekend... they are far too short though! Could do with another long one soon, but we'll have to wait until later in September for that.

Evening friends... hope you're back safe and sound after the Easter weekend. When I got home from work this evening, there was a lovely package for me from one of my dear blogfriends, Sandra from the UK. She sent me one of her beautiful cards, so nice to be able to view it in person and she was kind enough to punch me some borders from a variety of DP. I just HAD to make her a Thank You card to show off one of the new borders and couldn't wait to post it. Thank you so much Sandra, you're a real honey! Your kindness and thoughtfulness is much appreciated!
Tilda was coloured in with Copics and the striped and spotted paper were freebies from the Cardmaking magazine. The border was punched for me by Sandra. Further embellies are buttons, a rose, a heart and a sentiment.
