Totally GorJUSS!!

Good evening friends, before I get ready for the movie tonight, I thought I'd make my last card for the day.  Loved little Rapunzel when I bought her and she's been waiting for ever to be placed on a card.  I just loved the sketch they have over at Totally Gorjuss and thought I'd enter their challenge.  Here's my little number, hope they like it as much as I enjoyed making it.  The colours just make me feel happy and bright !
I've decided to use white cardstock for the base of my cards and then I cut a square for the front from AC or Bazzill.  Loved the layering of this sketch, must keep to use again when I run out of ideas.  The sentiment is from a pack I purchased at Charmaine's. Using this one for the first time, love it! Embellies:  red ribbon with white stitching, pearlised blue and star hatpin and some super red pearls!

I've been receiving quite a few compliments re my colouring, thank you ladies, you are so kind. I feel I still have a long way to go though.  Thought I'd share this close up pic for you to enjoy!  I only use Copics.

That's it for the weekend. Work again tomorrow.  Enjoy the week and I'll catch up with you later. Thanks for visiting and for your comments, they always make me smile!   Take care, hugs Sharon x

Totally Gorjuss Challenge 12

Hello friends... and a very warm welcome to my new followers. Thanks for popping by and joining, I'll be catching up with you soon...  Totally Gorjuss have a fabulous sketch for this week's challenge, pop around and join the fun!!   Here's my little entry for this week, hope you like it.  I had such fun with this one.  Tried something new... check this out

Paper:  Base of my card is an Aqua colour, for matting I used a lovely Chocolate Cocoa Brown and plain Green and Blue
DP: Beautiful designer paper from the pack I purchased at CNA
Image: Beach Tilda... isn't she adorable?  It was love at first sight when I saw this little cutie that I just had to have her and I am so pleased I did.  Coloured her in with my Copics.  I've done a background for the second time on my images, this is a new stamp from a local company purchased from Charmaine's shop. It's a rock on the left side with some grass on the right.  I used another stamp of reeds on the right hand side to give it more balance. So, my Tilda is sitting on the grass.
Embellies: Pearls, ribbon and tiny rhinestones from Paola's Shop.  The rose, leaves and butterfly from my old stock.
Sentiment: Typed myself

Same card taken from another angle, don't you just love that background?  I must admit, I was very pleased with the outcome of this one and will definitely be using it again.

Thanks for visiting and please leave a comment, as I always enjoy reading them.  Enjoy the rest of your Saturday and we'll chat again soon... tons of hugs, Sharon

I thought I would just post a quick pic of the pack of DP (Designer Paper) I purchased at CNA. This is what it looks like. I will definitely be looking out for more of these. Very economical!

See all those fabulous designs. Lots of pinks, blues, browns and cream.

Totally Gorguss Challenge - Free and Easy

Morning Everyone, hope you all have a lovely Wednesday. It's a public holiday in South Africa, so we're going shopping in a few minutes...

I thought I would enter the Totally Gorguss challenge this week, seeing that it is a free for all and you can use any image. I've chosen this Sarah Kay which has been lying around for a while now. The base of my card is a chocolate brown. The DP is Sweet Pea Paper by Michelle Coleman called Sophie and I've used both sides of the paper on my card. I've embellished with a lovely satin pink spotted ribbon from Paola's shop, a charm basket and some pearls. I found this card so feminine that I decided to use the Hi Girlfriend sentiment from my own stash. I hope you like this one.  Thanks so much to all who are leaving comments, I love reading them... 9 more days to Christmas, hope things aren't too hectic your end... take care, Sharon
