Happy Birthday

Good morning

Firstly, a very warm welcome to my new Friends.  It is great having you here and I so look forward to catching up with you too.  If you haven't taken part in the big Where Bloggers Create 2013 party, you are missing out BIG time!  I have just browsed through a few of the most awesome creative blogs and come across the most interesting hobbies, which I never even knew existed.  So, do take a peek on Karen Valentine's blog **My Desert Cottage** for the list of participants this year.

Gosh... 3 posts in 3 consecutive days... Am I a keen crafter or what?

It is my birthday next month and I have already received a birthday gift from my daughter...  this lovely Red Nikon Coolpix camera.  It's amazing how comfortable and  "used to" your old equipment you become. Since I bought the new computer too, I feel I still need to find my way around these new tools.  It is a bit of a pain in the backside and at times it makes we wish for my old equipment, but I am sure I will get "it" one of these days!!!  I need the practice taking pics, uploading it to the computer, editing it and finally posting it.  A longer process for me, until I get the knack of it...lol

Right... now let me share a card I made earlier this evening.  It's one of my C&S ones and I find that I am still struggling to find a nice "spot" to take my pics, as there are too many shadows falling over them... sigh!

The beautiful paper I purchased from my friend Paola.  I have kept it very simple as the recipient is a no fuss lady.  Methinks the ribbon may be a bit "over the top" for her, but I just could NOT resist putting it on.  Would have loved to add a few pearls, but thought I'd better not.

Here is a pic of the inside, which I have kept just as simple.  I've just taken a Croxley Record Card and cut it to fit inside and stamped a reed image using TH's Vintage Photo distress ink.  Now I can write my message on the inside.

The plain magenta coloured paper were leftovers from another card and I just cut a border using MS's Vintage Doily.  Creates a frame around the paper.  Quite nice don't you think?

Thanks for popping by. Do leave a comment before you go as I so enjoy reading them.

hugs
