Cards for CANSA - last updates

Good evening friends... this will be one of my last updates concerning the Run for Life (Cards for CANSA) project that I am running with.  The response from the South African stamping friends has been remarkable.  Not only have we exceeded the 100 cards I initially asked for, but have as of this evening DOUBLED that amount.  Woohooo... you ladies rock!  Thank you so very much for responding to the cause... I am sure the Cancer Survivors taking part in the Relay for Life in Worcester, Western Cape later in October this year, will appreciate receiving one of YOUR cards in their gift bag.

So, here are a few cards I received this evening from the lovely Charmain Harris, who is the first blogfriend I have met in person. Lovely meeting you Charmain - I hope to keep in touch, as I so enjoyed our chat. Thank you to you and your friends, Sandra and Brenda for the awesome cards you have made... they are beautiful!

A week or so ago I received these lovely cards from Gail Grant. Thanks Gail, your cards are stunning!  Just love that embossing and your sentiments are so special. Need to find out where I can get some of those...

And last, but certainly not least, are cards received from Ursula Uphof and Hayley McIennan.  Beautiful cards ladies, thanks for your hard work!  Such a lot of detail. A real labour of love...

I am sorry that I've been unable to post each and every card, that is why I encourage you all to start a blog of your own, so that we can all view your beautiful creations. We have so much to learn from each other.

This project is nearing closure now, as all cards must be received by me by the end of this month.   It has been very heartwarming hearing how Cancer has affected each and everyone of us in some way, either directly or indirectly. Thank you for sharing your stories with me.  I hope we have the privilege of working together on a similar type of project in the future.
Blessings, Sharon x

Welcome and update on Cards for CANSA project

Morning friends... I haven't blogged since Friday and was so thrilled to see that 3 new friends have joined my blog... a very warm welcome to Lisa, Lynda and Millie.  Thanks so much, I will pop around and visit you soon.

A brief update on the Cards for CANSA project, Relay for Life, I am running with on behalf of my cousin's wife, who is herself a cancer survivor.  Here are a few more cards from the RSA stamping group in South Africa, which I received in the post.

Thanks to Niki and Millie for these  stunning cards. Happy Birthday to Niki Zipp who celebrates her birthday today, 1 August.

A huge thanks too to Susan Nel (envelopes made from serviettes ~ aren't they stunning?), Dale and Jools. Beautiful cards ladies, thank you.

As the cards come rolling in, I will showcase them on my blog for your enjoyment. 120 have been received so far.  You ladies are amazing!!!

Hugs and blessings, Sharon x

More Cards for CANSA arriving...

Hi dear blogfriends... just a quick update on the Cards for CANSA project I'm working on.  They are arriving fast and furious now and I've become quite a regular at my local Post Office. Valencia at the counter and I are big buds and every time I receive a notification in the post I call her to get my packages ready for when I collect them after work. She goes off duty by the time I arrive and the 3 chaps that are on duty when I call are just so sweet. Naturally they're all very curious at all the post I've been receiving lately, so I gave them a quick explanation. They were VERY impressed!

So, today I am sharing cards made and received from our RSA members:  Paola Levi, Moz Roberts (bookmarks), Lynn Madgin and Theresa Gerber.  Note: I cannot take pics of all the cards, there are just so many, but these are just a few samples to share with you all.

Beautiful work Paola, just love that bra and those punches.

Stunning bookmarkers Moz. Excellent attention to detail.
Moz dedicated these to her Mom who died from
cancer in 1999. These are so special.  Thanks Moz.

Stunning work Lynne. Love the embossing.

Lovely work Theresa. Thanks so much for these too.

I will keep you updated as and when the Cards for CANSA come in, until I receive each and every one of them.  Thanks for your hard work ladies, our Cancer Survivors are so going to enjoy receiving these.  What makes them extra special though are the special messages/sentiments inside.

Thanks for popping by, hugs Sharon x

Cards for CANSA rolling in...

Hi blogfriends... just a quick update on the Cards for CANSA project which I am running for my cousin's wife (herself a cancer survivor), for their Relay for Life project in October.

As mentioned previously, the RSA stamping group took up the challenge and the cards are literally rolling in.  I can't show each and every one of them, but thought I would just share some with you which I've received from Marilyn Murphy and her wonderful team of helpers, Shereen Julius, Glenda Leigh from Australia and Rosemarie Gibson.  Thank you ladies, your cards are stunning!

And just because we had super sunny weather today, I thought I'd share a pic of some of the fruit we had for lunch... hmmm yummy!

Wishing you all a pleasant week ahead, blessings Sharon xoxox
