Welcome to my blog if you are visiting for the first time.  For those who have been here before, welcome back!  There is something special  happening today, as you can see!

As part of the SA Cardmaking and Papercraft in SA Facebook group, I welcome you to our very first blog hop.  We have 9 South African crafters' taking part this month, isn't that awesome?

Just so you know you're on the right track, your previous hop would have been from the super-talented Ansu's blog. She and her sister are the owners of  Ivytree Studio.  Their patterned paper is of the finest quality. You need to pay them a visit.

The brief was to make a card, but I've gone a step further and made 2 cards and a notepad, representing some, if not all, the colours in the Rainbow.

I've browsed through Robert's website and was thrilled to see that she sells Santoro's Gorjuss Girl stamps. I still have 2 Gorjuss Girl stamps in my collection, from my design team days over at Totally Gorjuss.  After stamping one of them, I dusted off the old Copics (some have dried out completely...yikes), to add a bit of colour to our girl.  Apologies,  my colouring skills are not what they used to be, I am so out of practice.

She is a little beauty, isn't she?  I'm so pleased I still have her in my collection.

The Simply Gorjuss ribbon was such a lovely feature to use for this corner.

This sentiment is still one of my favourites.

My final Mother's Day card..

Hi Everyone

I am back again with my last card in the order for Mother's Day cards... I just love this colour combination of purple/lilac and orange and will definitely be using it again on some of my cards.

The striped paper is gorgeous and is from Dovecraft's Back to Basics III 6x6 range of papers.

The image is from Lily of the Valley's Wild Flowers Art Pad and last but not least, the lovely sentiment is a freebie from Annette's range of freebie sentiments.  I think this one is so classic, don't you ? Thanks  so much for sharing these, Annette!

That is all in the range of Mother's Day cards.  Now to tackle some more Happy Birthday, Baby and Sympathy cards.  As you can see, my evenings are going to be pretty busy now.

Mother's Day cards...

I am still making Mother's Day cards for an order and would like to share my recent creations with you all. Once again I a using a variety of Art Pads from Lily of the Valley.  These are all from the Party & Cake set of pads.  They are so versatile and pretty. Papers and embellishments from my stash.

Crafting up a Storm...

Hello friends

Hope your Sunday has been as enjoyable as ours.  Kendall is busy studying for a Notary examination, so I decided to make some more cards this afternoon.  Thought I would just share 2 of them with you.  I had such FUN making them.  I did a bit of online shopping for a friend and myself and we can't wait for our new Art Pads to arrive from Lily of the Valley.  Hou duim vas Cariena dat dit nie te lank neem om hier by my uit te kom nie :)

Hello Sunshine

Hello friends

As some of you may know, I am at home recuperating after a major op.  I am doing well, but just need to listen to the doctor's orders and not lift anything heavy, nor drive, nor stretch, etc.  All is well and she is happy with my progress so far. Thanks for all the good wishes, flowers, etc.  I really appreciate it!

We are experiencing major hot days in Cape Town.  I thought I was going to melt yesterday...lol  My Mom requested that I make a card for her for an Aunt of mine and I decided to choose LOTV's Sunflower blooms from their pre-coloured Wild Flower Art Pad.  I am so happy with it and am sure it will add a lot of sunshine to her day.
