Totally Gorjuss (DT) - Pearls and/ or Lace

Hello again dear friends

Happy Saturday!  I'll be starting work on Monday after being off on Sick Leave for 6 weeks and then Annual Leave for 2 weeks, a total of 8 weeks and I can't believe how the time has flown by.  I have rested well and started driving for the first time 3 days ago.  It really felt strange getting behind the wheel again, but all is well!

Without further ado... our challenge over at Totally Gorjuss is Pearls and / or Lace.

I've undertaken the task of cleaning out my craftroom before I go back to work and found some gorgeous Gorjuss Girl images and paper I purchased a while back.  A shame that I had forgotten about them, but no sweat, I've quickly remedied that and brought them out to play.  Here's my take on the challenge for this week.  I went for Pearls only.

Recipe for this creation
Paper:  Red cardstock from my stash to create a border for the stunning striped Gorjuss Girl paper
Image:  Gorjuss girl
Bow:  Gorjuss girl

Totally Gorjuss (DT) - Anything Goes & Circles

Hello friends

Thanks for popping by to see what I have created for the Totally Gorjuss challenge this week.

It's Anything Goes and Circles

It took me only a few minutes to put this little card together.  Granted, the image was coloured a while ago, but 2 ticks and it was finished.  Hope you like it.  I have used one of my little Magnolia stamps again.  I cut the moon out myself, so no laughing at my moon please...lol  Desperate measures for desperate times, when you don't have the right die, right?

Here is a side view, so that you can get a peek at the inside as well.  I've kept the decoration very simple this time.

And the final pic is to show you the dimension.  Tilda has been adhered to the moon using double side sponge tape.

Our sponsor for this challenge is J&C Creations.  Do visit their store for all your crafty needs.

It was a good week for me... Sales-wise.  I managed to sell 8 Cards and 4 To Do notepads...woohoo!!  Thanks to the lovely ladies at my Office who support me ;)

Thanks for popping by.  Please leave a comment before you go, as I so enjoy reading them.

Totally Gorjuss (DT) - Things with Wings

Hello friends and a warm welcome to my blog.  It's been a bit quiet here at SKK, but real life has kept me very busy. When I get home I am exhausted. If I could flop into my bed when I enter the door, that would be heaven!

Our challenge over at the Totally Gorjuss challenge blog this week is to create Things with Wings.  We can't wait to see what you come up with.  I have dusted off one of Elisabeth Bell's fairies. Her name is Dani and she is a lovely image to colour. I hope you like her as much as I do.

Totally Gorjuss (DT) - Bling It On

Happy Saturday... welcome to another challenge with the Gorjusettes at the Totally Gorjuss challenge blog.  We loved viewing your last creations, thanks so much for joining in the fun and congrats to the winner of our last challenge!

This week the challenge is to BLING IT ON !  So haul out those blingy objects and come play along with us.

I have chosen this gorgeous image from LOTV. Ain't he adorable?  I am so pleased to see my Christmas card collection growing...   I am not sure where I got the sentiment from, but it's a nice one.  The papers are scraps from various Christmas paper pads that I have.

There is some bling on my card, I promise...lol  I have added some sparkle around the Christmas sentiment, as well as on the baubles and stars on the Christmas tree.  Maybe the next pic will give you a better picture.

That's about as blingy as you will ever get me, I'm afraid.  I am more of a pearly girl, as my regulars will know.  Let's see what you can come up with?

We are ever grateful to our wonderful sponsors and this challenge is sponsored by Heather's Hobbie Haven. Do pay them a visit, you will not be disappointed. Enjoy your shopping.  Remember, you've got to be IN IT to WIN IT !

Thanks for popping by.  If you have the time, I would love you to leave a comment, as I so enjoy reading them.

Totally Gorjuss (DT) - Traditional Christmas Colours

Well, was I pleased to see what Net had chosen for our challenge this week!!! lol   I am waaay behind with my Christmas card stash, that it was a huge pleasure having to make a Christmas card using Traditional Christmas Colours.  Do pop along to view the other Gorjusettes' creations at the Totally Gorjuss challenge blog, you will not be disappointed!

Don't you just love this Sugar Nellie SANTA with Tree.  He is so adorable.  You can purchase him from Funkykits. The papers are Forever Friends Gift Wrapped, which I bought from my friend Paola.  It is an A4 double sided pad and the texture is lovely. Nice and firm card too, which I like.   The sentiment is one of Magnolia's, purchased from Sir Stampalot.  Their service is outstanding!  Santa has been coloured in with Copics.

Here is a side view, for you to get a peek at the decoration inside.  And below is a close up of the sentiment.  Funny, how the tune sticks in your head when you read it!  He sees you when you're sleeping. He knows when you're awake, he knows when you've been bad or good, So be good for goodness sake!  la...la...la...

And one more little picture to share.  I mounted SANTA onto the circle with double sided foam tape.
I will enter this into Crazy Hazelnut's Christmas challenge.  They want you to make something with a snowflake on it!

Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is Crafter's Companion.  I know they have some awesome Christmas items for you to buy, so pop around and pay them a visit will you?  They stock all your favourite brands, so go on... lol

Totally Gorjuss (DT) - Thank You

Hi everyone, welcome to my new followers.  I am so thrilled you found something of interest here on my blog.  Thank you so much for joining.

Welcome too to another challenge with the Totally Gorjuss girls.  Net has chosen a lovely challenge for us... we can always do with a few THANK YOU cards now can't we?  I hope my little creation will inspire you to take part.

I have used a gorgeous stamp, Me and my Cat from Lili of the Valley and coloured it in with Copics. The papers are Me To You's Spring Chic.  I am using these so sparingly as they are too beautiful for words.  Finished off with a lovely satin white bow and a pearl centerpiece for effect.  Not sure where I got the sentiment from but methinks it is the first time I am using it.

Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is The Hobby House. Do pop around to visit them for all your crafty needs.  And don't forget to pop around to the other Gorjusette's blogs for further inspiration.

Wishing you all a super weekend.  It's a Public Holiday in SA on Monday, so it's a long one for us and guess what I'll be catching up with... yep, crafting!!!

Totally Gorjuss (DT) - Baby...Baby

Hello friends and Totally Gorjuss fans

We have a super easy challenge for you on the Totally Gorjuss blog this week... It's Baby...Baby.... so let your imagination run wild. I had to make a card for someone in Kendall's office whose wife is expecting a baby boy, so this challenge came at the right time.

I don't have any baby stamps, except this gorgeous one from Sugar Nellie, called Cute and Cuddly.  I have used it on more than one occasion and it comes in so handy, especially for those parents who have elected not to know what gender their baby is.

The image was coloured using a combination of chalks and pencil crayons.  The paper is a mixture of K&Company and one of my other 6x6 paper pads in my stash.  The ribbon I bought ages ago... one of those that you want it as you know you're going to need it at some stage.   The sentiment is one of Annette's (Netty's Cards) freebies.  Note:  If you use any of Annette's freebies, please make sure you are a Follower of her blog and that you give her credit.  Thanks Annette, this is a lovely sentiment.

Here are a few pics to give you a peek at the inside.  No matter WHAT I do... whe I take a pic of the inside of the card, it is always blurry, so a peek will just have to do I'm afraid!  I've used the ribbon inside as well.

Our wonderful sponsor for this challenge is Lili of the Valley.  I know they have some super Baby images and sentiments in their store, so do pop around and visit them.

Do visit the rest of the TG design team will you.  They have some awesome cards for your inspiration.

Thanks for popping by.  Do leave a comment if you have the chance, as I so enjoy reading them.

Totally Gorjuss (DT) - A Sketch

Hello friends

Welcome to another challenge on the Totally Gorjuss blog.  Net has given us a fabulous sketch to work with.

And here is my little take on the sketch... Apologies for using another Magnolia image.  They are just so darn irresistable and cute to colour.  I've had this one for a while now, but have only just inked her for the first time. She's a real cutie and I love her ponytails.  My New Year's resolution is (was) to start using some of my other rubber stamps which have been collecting dust for a while now... uhhh, I'll start next week okay!

I have been eyeing this Magnolia Doohickey Lovely Fence die for more than a year now. I've been waiting for the price to come DOWN, but as Murphy would have it, the price never came down, so I decided to go ahead and buy it for myself as a Christmas gift.  I am so pleased that I did, just love it!

I hope you'll find time to play along with us this week, as we so enjoy viewing your creations. Good luck with the challenge.  Our wonderful sponsor this week is the fabulous Joanna Sheen.  Remember, she ships FREE worldwide.  Please pay her online store a visit, as she has some fabulous items in stock. I have made some purchases from her store and the service is excellent!

If you have the time, I'd love for you to leave a comment, as I so enjoy reading them. A very warm welcome to my new Followers, always nice seeing a new face.

Happy crafting, hugs Sharon x

Totally Gorjuss (DT) - Let It Snow

Oh my gosh, we're getting closer and closer to Christmas aren't we? 14 days to go!   Hope all your shopping is done or nearly done.  It's a nightmare on the roads now with all the holidaymakers from upcountry flocking to the coast where I live.  We love them as it's a boost for our tourist industry, but the queues at the ATM is so much longer this time of the year and at the tills too, which is not so nice for us locals!  Oh well, it's only for a month ;)

We have a wonderful challenge for you this week at Totally Gorjuss... Let It Snow!  Get those little snowmen images out of the drawers and let's see what you've got.   I've gone for a gorgeous LOTV image this week.... Only realised when I was colouring her in, how adorable a stamp this actually is.

Now ain't she a cutie pie?  Once again I have used my chalks for colouring and I cannot tell you how much I enjoy using them.  I am able to create those "white" patches so perfectly, which I really struggle to do with the Copics.  I have used Copics though to colour her skin.

Here's the rest of the card...

I created some snow around her by using some acrylic paint and then going over it with some glitter to give it loads of sparkle.

Our wonderful sponsors for this challenge are Crafter's Companion.  Do visit them for all your crafty needs.

Thanks for popping by and if you'd like to leave a comment that would be AWESOME!

Take care, hugs Sharon x

Totally Gorjuss (DT) - A Sketch

Welcome to another challenge at the Totally Gorjuss bog.  This week Net has given us a lovely sketch to work with, so hurry on over and join in the FUN!
Here's my little number.  I've used a cute little Tilda from the new Christmas Collection, which was stamped for me by a friend... I wanted to purchase her, but she was an out of stock item...drat!!

I just love that border die and use it far too seldom... will have to rectify that soon! Tilda has been coloured with copics. Flowers, ribbon and pearls from my stash.

Our wonderful sponsor this week Joanne Sheen... do pay her online shop for all your crafty needs.

Thanks for popping by and if you'd like to leave a comment that would be wonderful!  Take care, Sharon x

Totally Gorjuss (DT) - Sparkle

Hello again and welcome to another challenge at Totally Gorjuss.  What beautiful creations for our last challenge. Congratulations to the winner.

This week we want you to **SPARKLE** up those cards.  Our wonderful sponsor this week is Wee Stamps and the stunning digi image I've used is Angie, by artist Sylvia Zet.  Sylvia's images are very popular in Blogland, so do pay her Store a visit.

As the theme is **SPARKLE**, I just had to take another pic from a different angle so that you could see the Star Dust stickles I've used on the stars, clouds, her wings and around the sentiment.

Just peeking our beneath the nestie is my new Divine Bakers Twine which I collected from the PO this past week.  I purchased a few other goodies which I'll share on my blog soon. The nice thing is that I received a Sew Sweet business card and a few felt snowflakes as a small gift with my purchase. Now isn't that a sweet (excuse the pun) thought?  Makes one want to shop there again....soon!

Thanks for popping by. I'd love you to leave a comment if you have the time and do visit the Totally Gorjuss blog to view the other Gorjusettes creations. You're going to be so inspired to join us again this week.

Happy crafting!  hugs Sharon xx

Totally Gorjuss (DT) - Swirly Wirly

Oh happy days....  It is going to be a scorcher today, with some cooler weather on Sunday, I believe.  Spare a thought for me please. Summer is not my favourite month as I get older...

Well, weather issues aside.... Welcome to another challenge at the Totally Gorjuss blog.  We have a super one for you this week... It's Swirly Wirly time.  The Gorjusettes have created some stunning creations for your inspiration, so do pop around to view them.

Here's my little effort... hope you like it...

I have never regretted purchasing this gorgeous Marianne Die.  It is just so beautiful.  The swirl and snowflake are additional dies with the large one.  The paper is from my favourite W&M range of papers purchased from Merrypak, a local store.  The pearlised flat backed pearls were purchased from Paola.

And here's another peek from a different angle which I hope will have picked up the Star Dust glitter on Tilda's wings.  She has been coloured in with Copics.

I haven't entered a challenge in a while, so let's try a few...
Magnolia Stamp Lovers - Christmas challenge
    Magnolia-licious - Colour challenge
7 Kids College Fund - A photo inspiration (Edit:  Woohooooo, this card made the Top 3!)

Our wonderful sponsors this week are Simon Says Stamp.  Please visit them for all your crafty needs.

Enjoy your weekend, happy crafting!  hugs Sharon x

Totally Gorjuss (DT) - Christmas Traditions

What a wonderful challenge we have for you this week at the Totally Gorjuss challenge blog.  With Christmas just a few short weeks away, we'd love to see your Christmas Traditions... My DT sisters and I have hopefully come up with a few ideas which will inspire you to take part... so do pop along to the challenge blog after you've visited me.

I've made a Gift Tag which is traditionally adhered to every gift, but mine is a wee bit different...  Here's the front...

I've used the gorgeous Vintage Tilda with her Christmas bauble for this Tag.  Ain't she a honey, check those little freckles... sweeeeet!  The papers are from last year.  Ribbons, flower and sentiment from my stash.

Now when you turn it around... you can see that this Gift Tag serves as a Gift Tag Holder too...  You just undo the ribbons on the side and the back flops open to reveal some...money!!!  You can also place a Gift Card inside as well.

Hope you don't mind me sharing another view of this Gift Tag with you... I added some dimensional glaze to that lovely Christmas bauble.

These are such lovely, rich, Christmassy colours. Can't wait to see your creations.  Thanks for popping by and if you'd like to leave a comment that would be fabulous, as I so enjoy reading them.

Happy crafting, hugs Sharon x
