Totally Gorjuss (DT) - I Remember...

Welcome friends to another challenge with the Totally Gorjuss team... we have a fabulous one for you this week... It's I Remember....  Create a card or project that brings back memories for you.  Now how easy is that ?

My purchases from Funky Kits arrived in the post a few weeks ago and this delightful stamp was amongst my new stock.  It's a Sugar Nellie one, called Cute and Cuddly.  I just had to ink and colour it straightaway.  These toys took me back a few years when I found out I was pregnant with my daughter Kendall.  I recall purchasing just about every fluffy toy I could find.  Remember the Care Bears, weren't they adorable? I almost had every colour.  Her cot was adorned with all the Care Bears inside, just waiting to welcome her home.  Hmmmm... lovely warm, fuzzy memories.  I am sure you have loads tucked away.  The Gorjussettes and I would love you to share your memories with us.

Our wonderful sponsor this week is Fantastic Ribbon.  Do pay them a visit, they have a stunning range of ribbons for your every need.

Happy crafting, hugs Sharon xx

Totally Gorjuss (GDT) - Ribbons and Lace

Yay it's weekend.  Hope it's a good one for all of us... Welcome to another challenge at Totally Gorjuss and have we got an awesome challenge for you this week... Ribbons and Lace is the call of the day and I just loved this one!  Our wonderful sponsor is Fantastic Ribbons, which I'm sure many of you know of in blogland, so you'll know it's worth taking part in this one.

I hope my card and the rest of the DT's creations will inspire you to get out that lovely lace and ribbon you have stashed away in your cupboards or drawers...

Don't you just love that lace?  It's an ecru colour and I only have a small piece left... can't quite recall where I purchased it from... oh dear!!!  My ribbon was purchased from a local shop, Creative Talents in Bellville, Western Cape.  The lovely sentiment is a gift from my friend Sandra and the flowers are from my stash.  I am showcasing Beautiful Tilda for the first time.  Kendall picked her, as she wasn't one that I would have selected... I thought there were many others in the Butterfly Dreams collection that were much nicer!  Oh well, we all have our personal tastes I suppose...lol

Enjoy the rest of your weekend and I look forward to popping around to view your stunning creations.

Thank you for popping around and leaving a comment, I so enjoy reading them.  hugs Sharon x

Totally Gorjuss GDT - Recipe Challenge

Now wasn't that Royal Wedding something else?  Catherine looked absolutely stunning, as did her sister and the 2 Princes... Will be watching the highlights again today!

Welcome to another challenge at Totally Gorjuss, always nice having you with us.  And a huge thank you to everyone who entered the last challenge.  Today we'd like you to follow a Recipe - 123...  Now, how easy is that?

Here's my little creation which I hope will give you some inspiration.  Do pop along to our challenge blog though and view the rest of the teamies creations too...

My Recipe is:  1 Stamp or 1 Ribbon or 1 Patterned Paper;  2 Large flowers;  3 Nesties

Today I've used the Sugar Nellie stamp, Gorjuss Girl Sitting... I haven't used her in a while and actually forgot how pretty she is. The link will take you to Funky Kits store, she's on sale right now.  My designer paper is a purchase from Crafty Emma's Store. This is Prima's Fairy Flora range of 6x6 papers. They are stunning to work with, not flimsy at all.  It really looks as if she is sitting is a beautiful garden, don't you think?  I am still loving my Upikit butterfly punch... can you tell ??? ... LOL  Ribbon, flowers and pearls from my stash.

Our sponsor this week is Fantastic Ribbon and if you're a fanatic about collecting ribbon like I am, then this will be incentive enough to take part in our challenge. Good luck!

Just had to add another view of this card, so that you can see how I've popped those butterflies. Placed a pearl in the centre and coloured them with pearlised chalk, also add a bit of glitter for some pizzazz!

I will be entering this card into the following challenges:
Crafts For Eternity - Anything Goes
   Fussy and Fancy - Springtime

Thanks for popping by and leaving a comment, I really appreciate them. Hugs Sharon x
