Totally Gorjuss (DT) - Pastel Christmas

Happy Saturday and welcome to another challenge with the lovely Gorjusettes from the Totally Gorjuss team.  Please visit the challenge blog to see who the winner of our BINGO challenge was last week... wow, so many stunning entries, thanks so much!

This week however we have a wonderful challenge for you.... so many Christmas cards popping up all over the place in blogland, but we'd like you to come up with a Pastel coloured Christmas card or creation.  As always, we hope you'll be greatly inspired by the DT's creations. 

Our lovely sponsors this week are Lili of the Valley stamps and I've used one of their fairies for my Christmas card... ain't she adorable ?  Coloured her with pastel chalks. For the darker bits I used Copics. She's on her way to deliver a Christmas prezzie to someone special.  If you enter our challenge, YOU could be the winner of a Lili of the Valley stamp.

I added lots of Star Dust glitter on her wings, the ends of her dress, shoes, prezzie, etc. That's the nice thing about making Christmas cards, you can use lots of bling and glitter.

Totally Gorjuss (GDT) - All About Boys

Welcome to another challenge at Totally Gorjuss friends.... Today we have a nice one for you... it's All About Boys.

The girls get all the attention, so it's time we saluted those little men in your lives...  As we're a family of girls, I really struggle making boy/male cards, so I hope you find some inspiration from my attempt.  If not, please pop around to the TG challenge blog and view the rest of our Team's creations, you'll definitely find some inspiration there!

The lovely gingham paper was purchased from my friend Paola.  The stamp and sentiment is one of LOTV's which I combined with a local stamp from Great Impressions, purchased from Merrypak.  The star was hand-drawn by myself and cut out, as I don't have any of those fancy star cutters...lol

Our sponsor this week is Simon Says Stamps.  Now, if that isn't reason enough to join in the FUN, then I don't know !

Totally Gorjuss (GDT) - Pearls and Swirls

Hey it's Saturday again and we'd love to welcome you to another challenge at Totally Gorjuss. It's Pearls and Swirls this week... love my pearls.  I hope you'll find the time to come and join in the fun.  As usual we have a super sponsor and this week it's Simon Says Stamp... woohoo, how awesome is that !

I thought I'd do something a bit different... can you see the swirls in the beautiful pink lace ?  I've been dying to use it and it seemed so appropriate for this challenge...

The beautiful rose designer paper was a gift from my dear friend Sandra.  The texture of this paper is beautiful, pearlised almost. Just love it!   The gorgeous Miss Tilda is Tilda with Flowerpot, purchased from 7 Kids College Fund.   The flat-backed pearls I purchase from Paola, my friend in Johannesburg.

Totally Gorjuss (GDT) - Flower Power

Hello friends... it's Saturday again and what does that mean... it's another Totally Gorjuss challenge...  Have we got a lovely one for you... it's Flower Power... so get out all those lovely floral designer papers and flowers and come join in the FUN.  Our wonderful sponsor is Crafters Companion.

I decided to make an easel card for a change, seeing that I haven't made one in absolute ages.  I forget how nice they actually are to make.  For this card I've used 2 stamps from Magnolia's range of stamps, Jam Tilda and Spring Fence, both purchased from 7 Kids College Fund.



Miss Jam Tilda and the Spring Fence were coloured in with Copics.  I used some foam tape to pop her onto that fence.  I then punched a tiny butterfly to pop into the corner of the gorgeous floral DP, which didn't have a name on it, sorry!

I cut out one of the lovely flowers from the DP, matted it onto brown cardstock and then placed it in the corner of the card. The birthday sentiment is an old one from Lili of the Valley.  I also put together a lovely arrangement of flowers to compliment our theme. Some were bought and others were gifts from my lovely crafty girlfriends.

Totally Gorjuss (GDT) - A Sketch

Hello friends... forgive me for not posting more regularly.  I just seem to be sticking with my GDT cards right now... I am sure it'll come right soon...

I've used an Elisabeth Bell image and have opted not to colour it in this time.   Kendall needed a card for a Baby Shower at work and as the parents know that they are expecting  Baby Girl, I could use my favourite colour pink for this card.

Totally Gorjuss (GDT) - A Sketch

Happy Saturday and a warm welcome to another challenge over at the Totally Gorjuss challenge blog.  Net has provided a wonderful sketch for us to work with, I am sure you will use it over and over again...

Here's my interpretation thereof.  I hope it will inspire you to make a card of your own. Our sponsor this week is Joanna Sheen.

For today I have used a double-sided cardstock for my card, no white base card (huh?).  This is a first for me and it really helped cut down on time, which we all have such a little of nowadays...  The paper was quite sturdy and could stand quite easily without flopping down.  My image is the lovely Margeaux Painting by Stampavie, a Sarah Kay design.

Totally Gorjuss GDT - Recipe Challenge

Now wasn't that Royal Wedding something else?  Catherine looked absolutely stunning, as did her sister and the 2 Princes... Will be watching the highlights again today!

Welcome to another challenge at Totally Gorjuss, always nice having you with us.  And a huge thank you to everyone who entered the last challenge.  Today we'd like you to follow a Recipe - 123...  Now, how easy is that?

Here's my little creation which I hope will give you some inspiration.  Do pop along to our challenge blog though and view the rest of the teamies creations too...

My Recipe is:  1 Stamp or 1 Ribbon or 1 Patterned Paper;  2 Large flowers;  3 Nesties

Today I've used the Sugar Nellie stamp, Gorjuss Girl Sitting... I haven't used her in a while and actually forgot how pretty she is. The link will take you to Funky Kits store, she's on sale right now.  My designer paper is a purchase from Crafty Emma's Store. This is Prima's Fairy Flora range of 6x6 papers. They are stunning to work with, not flimsy at all.  It really looks as if she is sitting is a beautiful garden, don't you think?  I am still loving my Upikit butterfly punch... can you tell ??? ... LOL  Ribbon, flowers and pearls from my stash.

Our sponsor this week is Fantastic Ribbon and if you're a fanatic about collecting ribbon like I am, then this will be incentive enough to take part in our challenge. Good luck!

Just had to add another view of this card, so that you can see how I've popped those butterflies. Placed a pearl in the centre and coloured them with pearlised chalk, also add a bit of glitter for some pizzazz!

Totally Gorjuss (GDT) - No Patterned Paper

Happy Saturday everyone... and welcome to yet another challenge at Totally Gorjuss.  Wasn't last week's challenge fun?  It really had me stumped, but you all rose to the challenge beautifully... so many different takes on the Fluffy challenge... well done!!!  You girls ROCK!!  So many entries!

What do we have for you this week... No Patterned Paper... wait until you start with this one, it was so strange... my hand kept reaching for the very paper we're NOT supposed to use...LOL !!!  So... it's all plain cardstock this week... I hope my little creation will inspire you to take part.  Our sponsor is Simon Says Stamps... now that should be incentive enough for you.

See what I mean?  Not one piece of patterned paper in sight... looked odd for me initially, but I got used to it after a while.  The image is our gorgeous little Tilda, kindly stamped for me by a very dear friend in the UK.  I thought I'd go for an Easter card this time, as I have yet to make one.  I adore this little image, she is such a cutie pie.

The gorgeous lace was a gift from another friend in Pretoria. Thanks so much Amelia, this was the last piece in that colour that I had over.  Amelia and I have been using this rationally, as she cannot get it in this colour anymore... boohoo!  We do have it in chocolate and pink though...

The pearls, ribbon and flower are from my stash. My Tilda was coloured with Copics and I used lovely pearlised chalk around the image, purchased from 7 Kids College Fund.

For all we William and Catherine junkies in SA , especially for those of us who do NOT have DSTV...   SABC3 will be televising the wedding on the 29th April, with highlights on the 30th April.  Read all about it here.  How cool is that? (Our home phone will be on voicemail over both days, so DON'T call unless it's an absolute emergency...hahahaha).

Totally Gorjuss Challenge

Hi Everyone and a wonderful Saturday to you all... from viewing my Google Reader, it's great to see that we're all having a wonderful crafty day. I noticed that there's a nice sketch over on the Totally Gojuss challenge blog. Go check it out!  Here's my little creation for this week, hope you like it!

Base: Deep mauve coloured Bazzill (have I got the spelling correct now girls? ;)

DP: Lovely mauve and green double side paper from Kaiser Crafts. As per the sketch, I used the back of the DP for the centre panel which I glued lilac spotted ribbon onto.

Image: Goth girl from Gorjuss Girls, coloured with Copics. I love the image but not the skull, so I placed a bling flower to hide it!

Embellishments: Glittered paper flowers from Dazzled. Green pearls in the corner of each card.  A few rhinestones was placed over the card.

Sentiment: Computer generated.

I am feeling so guilty, spent more money on cardstock today (but the sale is still on you see, so what is a girl to do????).  The only darn thing is that the eyes start roving all over the place and before you know it... a little bit of this DP and a little bit of that lovely punch... and those flowers somehow find their way into my shopping basket... then you're at the till and almost collapsing from fright when the total amount is revealed.  But, how on earth can that be!!!  I only came in for the SALE stock ;)  How on earth did I manage to run up such an amount?  Hmmm... I really hope this sounds familiar or else I'm going to feel even worse that I do now! hahaha (not for long though).  Let me know if you have the same problem, ok?  Enough ramblings for now, I'm off to make myself a nice cup of coffee.  Why not join me?

Totally Gorjuss Challenge - Gift Tag

This my creation for the Totally Gorjuss Challenge this week.  The challenge is to make a gift tag.  I've used white cardstock as my base. The image is Christmas Anya, I think. I coloured her with my Copics and added some glitter. Matted her onto swiss dots embossed paper, which was matted onto red card. I then further embellished with holly and rhinestones.  Hope you like this one friends...  Take care, Sharon
