Here's.... Molly

Hi friends... it's just gone 7 minutes past midnight, so Good Morning... hope you all have a lovely Sunday.

I hadn't planned to make a card earlier this evening, but after skype-ing, chatting and crafting, this is what I produced...  I made this card for the challenge over at the Simon Says Stamps Challenge blog.  All you to do is follow the sketch by the lovely, talented Jane...  hope you like it?

I have used one of the adorable Molly Bloom stamps again, purchased from Which Craft.  She's called Farmyard Molly. I have masked her to sit on a wall, which is a stamp from a local SA company.

The heart-shaped pearls were purchased from Crafty Emma's Store.  The sentiment is one of Cuddly Buddly's which I purchased ages ago.  The gorgeous ecru lace is from a local habby store in Cape Town.

Same card, taken from another angle...

Thanks for popping by and visiting me again. If you'd like to leave a comment that would be great.  Happy crafting, hugs Sharon x

Oh Happy Day....

Happy Thursday my lovely friends... In South Africa we have a public holiday today... hence my heading Oh Happy Day...lol  I just love public holidays, as it gives me an extra day to craft and play, apart from the weekends.  As working girls we treasure these days, don't we ?

A very warm welcome to my new Creative Friends who have joined my followers list... so pleased to see some new faces. I'll be popping around to visit you all soon.

I was skype-ing with some lovely friends last night, happily colouring in this image which you'll see on my card, thinking that I'd be entering it into the TOMIC colour challenge which is Pink, White and Brown... Once I had coloured the image I showed it to my lovely friend Paola and she asks "What challenge are you entering that one into Shazi?", so I tell her "The TOMIC challenge silly!"... uhhh, it's then that she reminds me that it is NOT a Magnolia image... oh my HAT, did I gasp and fume... How on earth could I have been so stupid ???  So... there I had to go sifting through the whole of blogland to find a suitable challenge to enter this cute little card with an Elisabeth Bell image into.  Have you ever done something similar ?  Please say "yes", then I won't feel so bad !! hehehe

I've really waffled on long enough, but just had to share that story with you all. So, here's my little card in question.  Let me tell you, I just LOVED making this one... can you tell ? And what do you think of my little watering can prop ???  Ain't it adorable ?

Click on card for larger image

My friend Deidre introduced me to a new shop (Super Floral, 27 Transvaal Street, Paarden Eiland, Cape Town)  and this is where I found some stunning ribbon, flowers and this divine little watering can.  So... I decided to purchase 2, one in pink and one in white to use as props for my card.

I am entering my card into these 2 challenges:
Simon Says Stamps - Bingo (I chose Flowers, Brads and Sentiment)
 Paper Sundaes - Girly Girl

Here are some more pics to share.

The image was kindly stamped for me by Paola - thanks so much!  She has been coloured in with Copics.  I've used some chalk for the blue sky.  The sentiment is from Sandra, thanks honey!  The base of my card is white and I've used bazzill cardstock to layer.  I would like to acknowledge Julie Glasgow from Colarado, USA who kindly emailed me when I asked how she got her edges so distressed.  We were using the same MM distress tool, but somehow my previous attempts didn't quite look as good as hers... ahhh, the secret is to use loads of pressure, which is what I did and it worked !  yayyyy!  Thanks Julie for this tip.

Oh what the heck, let me throw in another card with the white watering can this time, then I've really showed them both off to you all...LOL!!!

Thanks so much for popping by and leaving a comment, I really enjoy reading them. I have an extra long weekend, as I've taken tomorrow off too... yippeeeee!

Happy crafting, hugs Sharon x

Simon Says Stamp Challenge Celebration...

Oh my gosh, it seems like ages since I've posted a card... uh duh, come to think of it, it was only this past Monday that I posted one...  I hope you're all enjoying the Easter break.  I sure am... inbetween household chores I've managed to find time to sit and craft.  It is just soooooo therapeutic, don't you agree?  I just love seeing all that paper, ribbon, pearls and stamped images lying around and at the end of the hour or 3, you're sitting with a gorgeous little creation... yummyyyyy!!  And now I get to show it off to YOU.  Hope you like it as much as I enjoyed making it...

For my card today I have used the gorgeous Ribbon Hair Tilda... she's an absolute lady isn't she ?  Couldn't have her sitting on a fence... thank goodness I found this little bench that Paola stamped me ages ago. It came in real handy today.  Reminder to self: Get some Magnolia accessories for my little Maggies...lol   I am using my brand new MS Garden Trellis punch on the outside of my card and the MS Scallop Dot punch on the inside.

Am loving my little Upikit Butterfly stamp... am sure I'm overdoing it on all my cards, but who cares ???  Added a few pearls and flowers to complete this lovely picture.

I've kept the inside very plain and simple.  A nice sized area to write your message and added a knotted ribbon and a few more butterflies to compliment the outside.

I raised the Garden Trellis onto double sided foam tape for a bit of depth. This picture shows it off perfectly and then to end off... a frontal view of my card which I am entering into the Simon Says Stamp Challenge.  They are celebrating their 2nd Blog Anniversary with a Blog Hop - Congratulations guys!  I'd love to win one of their vouchers, so wish me luck or join in the FUN yourself!

Thanks once again for popping by. If you'd like to leave a comment, that would be most appreciated.  Huge hugs to you all from a very cold Cape Town, Sharon x
